The Scruffs ‘Man Tips’ campaign was up for two honours at the 2010 Construction Marketing Awards. Organised by the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) the event was held at the prestigious Waldorf Hotel in London on 2nd December. Against some stiff competition including Polypipe, Marley and Lafarge Scruffs took both the ‘Best Use of Advertising’ and ‘Best Campaign’ awards, and received some very complimentary comments from the panel of industry and creative agency judges: “A truly inspired tongue-in-cheek campaign creating a brand character strong enough to drive behaviour.” “A fun campaign with excellent results which speak for themselves.” “Great creative, thoughtful media planning and excellent supporting strategy.” “The strong character and humour of the radio ads definitely hit the spot.” This is fantastic recognition from industry peers for a great campaign that everybody across BPT got behind and made happen. Along with the three Roses Advertising Awards won earlier in the year the Scruffs ‘Man Tips’ campaign has now taken five awards in total – a truly impressive achievement for the UK’s fastest growing workwear brand.
